- About the
Center
- Licensed April 1, 2005 by Department of
Public Welfare with a capacity of 61 children.
- We work together with the Child Care
Information Services office in Cambria County and the Department
of Public Welfare to provide subsidized child care for
qualifying families.
- We Serve families of the Northern Cambria
community with child care services for children ages 6 weeks
through 6th grade.
- Services
- Food is provided and consists of meals and
snacks under the Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines.
- School-aged care is provided before and after
school throughout the school year. Full-day care is provided
throughout the summer and during school vacations.
- Preschool
- Coal Country Preschool operates Monday -
Friday from 9AM - 11AM during the school year.
- Preschool children have the opportunity to
experience developmentally appropriate activities under the
guidance of our preschool staff.
- Staff
- Staff at the Center consist of group
supervisors, assistant group supervisors. and aides. All of our
staff are professionals in the area of child development and
care who continue in their professional development through
regular trainings.
- Facilities
- A separate infant room provides our youngest
children with a safe area to explore and develop their skills.
- We have outdoor fenced-in playground
facilities as well as a large indoor gymnasium for gross motor
development.
